Parmar[1][2][3][4] also spelled as Panwar[5][6] is a(clan)of the Jat community of India.[7] They have a large population in many villages based in the north Indian states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana, India.[8]

But mostly, their population is found in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. Munirka village is located near to Jawaharlal Nehru University and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a dominant village of Parmar/Panwar Jats.[6][9] Talwinder Singh Parmar, a Jat Sikh separatist for the Khalistan state and founder of Babbar Khalsa International, also belonged to the Parmar clan of the Jat Sikh community.
