Samuel Frederick "Ted" Dabney (May 15, 1937 – May 26, 2018) was an American electronic engineer. He was born in San Francisco, California. Dabney was the co-founder of Atari, Inc. alongside Nolan Bushnell, and one of the creators of the first successful arcade game, Pong.[1]
Dabney had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer in late 2017 and was only given months to live. He died on May 26, 2018 of the disease in Los Angeles at the age of 81.[2]
