Yottie talks about the new Stub Cup to try and eradicate them from SEWP.
QandA
The QandA. Every week, one or more users will be interviewed by a member of the Simple News team. This idea was started by Kennedy. Interviews are generally taken by a member of the Simple News Team - to date this has included Bluegoblin7, Kennedy, Pmlineditor, Shappy, Yotcmdr and Juliancolton.
The Commanders' Choice. For every edition, Yottie or Pmlineditor will be chosing articles that need creating, expanding or being attended to. Here is this edition's list:
Template:Infobox Politician/Personal data. Coding the convert template is really hard. It's below religion and above signature...if you think it should be elsewhere in the section, fine by me. Purplebackpack8905:19, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to do either/both for the community to be honest especially if they think the help would be good. My only concern is if it is fair to ask the community for more tools for an 'inactive' user. We all know how I do work across many projects, I don't see myself lowering my activity here (and I'm always available when someone pokes for help on IRC or I see something from there, in fact this is already the majority of times I do something on almost all wikis :) ) but also don't know if I'll be able to increase my activity in the near future. Well, neither crat or oversighter gets a daily workout here, so I don't see how you'd be much different to any other crat or OS. Think and about it for a bit and let me know. fr33kman07:13, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Aye. (Your userpage still says "I do have thoughts at some point in running for an admin position..." so that might need fixing :) ((Sonia|talk|en))07:39, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations! You have been made a bureaucrat by the community at Simple English Wikipedia in an unopposed new-style nomination. Yottie or maybe someone else will doubtless find you new crappy t-shirt! Welcome to the team and good luck! :P fr33kman05:05, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Congrats also. Sorry about the confusion, but I didn't want anyone to question whether you had "actually" passed. Welcome to the cabal crat team. EhJJTALK09:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just wanted to come by and offer my congratulations now that your RfB has been (maybe?) closed successfully. :) Cheers, @Lauryn(parlez)20:19, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm enjoying it thank you :) It was nice and clean when I got it. I do tend to look into IPs a bit before I block just so that it sometimes takes a couple minutes but with that particular one I think the biggest thing was that I didn't notice it until right then (I was in the middle of a meeting but noticed the report in another channel). Congratulations you on your brand new staff job with the Wikimedia Foundation as an Associate Community Officer!! I think it is a great role for such a community and project focused person like you. We've been friends for a while and you've always struck me as a wise and intellegent guy. I think that you will benefit from working at WMF and that the foundation and volunteer community will both benefit by having such a enthusiatic, knowledgable and understanding person. Well done! :) fr33kman02:09, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This month sees the return of Simple News after several months of inactivity. The Did you know project is looking for more hooks and active participants.

You are now the second time in your live our newest cu here on simple. Rights have been granted via meta. You should still have access to the channels and I think you are still list admin, so nothing that needs to be done. Welcome back! -Barras (talk) 10:00, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
