Priyagold[2][3] is an Indian food company.[4][5] The brand was established in 1994 under Surya Food & Agro Ltd. by Shri. Ballabh Prasad Agarwal and his sons[6][7][8], Shri. Manoj Kumar Agarwal[2], Shri. Navin Kumar Agarwal,[9] and Shri. Shekhar Agarwal. Operating under Surya Food & Agro Ltd., Priyagold has established a global presence, exporting of biscuits, snacks, chocolates,[10] and other food products to over 20 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, America, Australia,[11] the Middle East, and the Caribbean Islands. Surya Food & Agro Ltd[12]., the entity for marketing biscuits under the Priyagold brand,[13] inaugurated a new manufacturing unit in the state of West Bengal in 2022.[14][15][16][17]

History

Established in 1994,[18][19] Priyagold faced initial challenges but experienced continuous growth. At the time of Shri. Ballabh Agarwal's death in 2021, the company had built an empire valued at Rs 3000 crores,[20][21][22] as reported by Patrika. In 1994 Priyagold incorporated under the name of Surya Food & Agro Ltd. and launched its product, Butter Bite.[23][24][25][26][27][28][29]
