Salami (Persian: سالمي, also Romanized as Sālamī and Sālemī; also known as Sālemī-ye Yek)[3] is a village in Salami Rural District of Khanafereh District, Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,173 in 375 households, when it was in the former Khanafereh Rural District of the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,859 people in 666 households,[5] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Khanafereh District.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,019 people in 763 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
