christ, wikipedia has fallen so far, just created an account on academia.edu to verify, and this article does not mention Murray once... I wonder how many of these are going to be fake...Tag: Reverted

This paper does not call Murray Islamophobic... the quote "Important Islamophobic intellectuals are..." does not appear in the piece. The real quote is "but extemporizations on her basic theme can be found in the work of many conservative writers during the late 2000s and 2010s, such as"...Tag: Reverted

several reasons not to include this: 1. we say he was "often criticized" for these things but in his time it appears he was not? perhaps he should have been but... 2: there isn't anything in the body of the article about harassment (accounts of dating his colleagues =/ harassment), 3. the accounts of his groping are unsubstantiated so we should at very least say "alleged", this presents it as if it's a fact: "criticized for bullying and sexually harassing..."

this is not a general consensus, but primarily a criticism levied against him by his political adversaries. If we say "is associated with" we need to say by who. And since this is not a clear consensus, we need to make clear that this is a disputed topic.

→Contributions: vast number of problems in this section, use of Wikipedia's voice to make the claims of the subject (ie. "highlights the importance of including the permanent processes...", "that became prominent", "an invitation to see racial/colonial", "highlights the critical anthropological task..."), also claims to a work being influential or being his "most important contribution to anthropology" would need to be referenced specifically.

removing duplicated translations from bibliography and organizing by date, removing some more imperious claims to greatness from the lede (ie: "central to", "expert of the North-African community"), add back if there is a ref to support it.

→Sociology: a vast number of problems with this section, "double prism" is a nonsense term, much of it is written in Wikipedia's voice where it should be in the voice of the subject (ie "examined the difficult situation of migrants... forced into silence"), there would need to be a reference for the claim that he "renewed the approach of French sociology". Also claims to "importance" are so common through sociology articles that each ought to require a ref, and the last ref wasn't genuine.

"challenging the term's validity" is not neutral, that Barbie did well is a fact, how to interpret that fact should be up to the reader. likewise "challenged the premise of the slogan" is not neutral. "The phrase has seen mixed levels of success and applicability" is not exactly the right way to interpret the various analysis of it; analysts are not sure of the real impact, but that doesn't mean it's had "mixed success".

Bill Burr
Bill Burr is not a producer. He has been an executive producer on a few projects, which is not the same thing as a producer, nor is it his profession.

→Caracol Industrial Park: completely re-writing this segment to reflect the reality today, this read as an advertisement for the Park, yet it in fact never materialized and failed the local Haitians that were displaced as a result of it!

why are these here? nothing in the references for ties to "manosphere". He also was not part of the GamerGate controversy, making a video criticizing Sarkeesian surely doesn't qualify.

I'm sure this will be reverted, but presenting no information is an improvement over presenting the misinformation of the North Korean state. There is significant enough concern with this in the talk page from others for this to be warranted.

He only wrote one ebook so cannot be considered an author, and directed only select few music videos, these two things weren't his professions. He was primarily an entrepreneur and DJ.
