Heterandria formosa
Adding Bennett and Conway 2010 citation (a recent expert review) supporting H. formosa as one of the smallest fishes in North America. Also added "species" on line indicating this.Tag: Visual edit

Syllabus
Added "or instructor" to "tutor" on line 2 because most courses that have syllabi associated with them are secondary school, college, or workshop courses and these are usually taught by an instructor, not a tutor. In American English and British English, a "tutor" is one who teaches a private student or small student group, as in one-on-one or small group remediation. This is not the best word for this description. I added the more correct term "instructor."Tag: Visual edit

Restriction site associated DNA markers
I am a professional evolutionary biologist. The first sentence was not specific enough, only saying "evolution." I changed "evolution" to "evolutionary genetics," which is general enough to encompass many use cases while still being slightly more specific.Tag: Visual edit

List of sequenced animal genomes
→Bony fish: ... I made a minor change to this list. Heterandria formosa was listed under Cypriniformes but in fact is in family Poeciliidae within Cyprinodontiformes. I fixed it so that H. formosa was only listed under Cyprinodontiformes, rather than in duplicate.Tag: Visual edit

Phylogeography
I did my PhD on phylogeography and publish on it regularly. The definition as previously stated was incorrect. Phylogeography is not the study of distributions of individuals, but rather that of the patterns and processes influencing geographic distributions of genetic lineages or genealogical lineages. I also clarified this in the Development paragraph by adding Avise's (2000) actual definition of the field.Tag: Visual edit

Sarcopterygii
I am an ichthyologist and always note correct vs. incorrect usage of the terms "fish" (referring to a single species) and "fishes" (referring to multiple species of fishes). I corrected the article to use the correct plural forms in the intro. I have not had time to check the rest of the article yet.Tag: Visual edit

Growth hormone deficiency
IGF abbreviation was given but not defined at first use, so I changed format to be more appropriate, first spelling out IGF-1 then giving the abbreviation in parentheses. Also made several minor adjustments to improve the quality of written English.Tag: Visual edit

Channel catfish
I added a new "Genetics" section that I authored on the genomics and genetics of channel catfish. This section fills an important gap: channel catfish genome has been sequenced, but this was not mentioned (or discussed in detail) in the previous version.Tag: Visual edit

Heterandria formosa
A variety of minor changes made from the perspective of an expert on this species. See my publication record. I hope to add more to this article in the near future when time permits. However, some of the minor corrections here included changes to improve the writing and fix spelling or punctuation errors.Tag: Visual edit

FAQ
Rewrote the intro description for improved clarity; modified "Origins"; and reorganized the "Modern developments" section by adding sub headings as well as a new "In web design" subsection. Also added / reorganized citations. The previous entry had several irrelevant points or types of content including an unnecessary link to someone's personal blog at http://www.techysport.com.ng, which has no place in this article. Glad to help.Tag: Visual edit

Hybrid zone
A variety of minor changes throughout, made by an expert in evolutionary biology. Aside from fixing or improving a variety of areas, I added new models of hybrid zones that were not referred to or described in detail. Specifically I described, with reference citations, the "bounded hybrid superiority hypothesis" and "mosaic model." A minor fix was that I fixed a point in the article that referred to gene flow due to introgression, while this should be in the opposite order.Tags: nowiki addedVisual edit

Hybrid (biology)
Minor edits to intro and Hybrid vigour section. The article comes across too strongly in favor of hybrid vigor. I added a statement balancing this out by pointing out the well-established fact from biology/genetics that hybridization between species more frequently results in the production of offspring with lowered fitness. If this were not the case, then nature would be filled with hybrids, which it is not. My change needs to also be reflected in the Intro.Tag: Visual edit

Michael R. Rose
Added reference for most recently authored book to Books section. Removed apparently unnecessary end square bracket in the reference for the Garland and Rose book, because square brackets are usually meant to indicate clarification (e.g. "[sic.]").Tag: Visual edit
