Crockett's Theme
Moved first mention of Jan Hammer to the first sentence. Added mention that the theme is in more episodes. Clarified that the 1987 mix used for the single & Jan Hammer album is slightly different from the 1986 Miami Vice II album version (mainly cabasa echo & airy synth pad levels).

Miami Vice Theme
→Versions: The commercially released 1-minute version is a slightly different mix (different echo, guitar panning and levels) than what actually aired. Edits used for closing credits vary.current

Thriller (song)
Reverted unexplained UK release date removal by Vaughan J.. The issue of Music Week (UK) which I cited clearly had it due the week of 11 Nov 1983, and indeed, it began charting the following week, as mentioned later in the article. The 1983 chart placement would not make sense if the article were to only say the single debuted in 1984.

Reactionary
Minor copy edit: "past status quo ante" is redundant; ante means past/before. It's like saying "past way things were in the past".

I didn't look too hard for third-party sources of Budge's retirement, so just using his LinkedIn & Twitter for now.

Peel Session (Boards of Canada EP)
Recording & air date info adjusted after listening to OTA recordings which have different intros by John Peel; there must have been at least two airings, and "XYZ" was apparently the first track recorded.
