note: the advantage was not formed before the minibosses. there was a band called 'generic' that consisted of spencer, the drummer of the advantage/guitarist of hella, and at its earliest only shared one other member from said band. he has since left the band. "Nick Rogers and Forrest Harding are the two original members that started the band, and Cassie Stewart was featured on bass for awhile as well. At the time the band was called Generic." should be removed altogether. -shawn phase

-Still hardly a Minibosses clone though. That would imply The Advantage heard the Minibosses and wanted to be like them, there are quite a bit of video game cover bands as of recently, that may have done just that, but reading the allmusic pages on both The Advantage and The Minibosses would imply at the very least neither band influnenced the other and they started at about the same time. The way they each handle the covers are also far different.

-Added a little about the history of the band. When I spoke with spencer seim, the story as he told it was that he was in high school and heard about "some dudes" doing nintendo covers, so he asked them if he could play drums, and they accepted him. I am assuming that the people he meant were Rogers and Harding. I don't know Spencer's age, but I am pretty sure that if we look at the time line, Generic predates the Minibosses, and when I asked him about it, he definitely didn't mention any other bands as being influences, he just said "it kind of sucks, because we were doing it first." 2004 Tour CDs[edit]

The article has two different CDs listed as being self released in 2004

2004 West Coast Tour CD (February, 2004) Self Released
2004 US Tour CD (October, 2004) Self Released

As far as I can tell, these are the same thing. Does anyone know what if any difference there is in the West Cost Tour CD? I'm not going to condense the list down but I might have to put an ugly citation needed tag on the West Coast Tour CD because I can't find anyone who has heard of it.

Oppose as unnecessary overprecision per WP:PRECISE. Of all the articles on the dab page, only the band's own album, and possibly the ship (if you stretch it) could be titled "The Advantage". Someone taking the trouble to search for or link to "The Advantage" (as opposed to "Advantage") most likely wants the band and should not be forced to go to a dab page. - Not so, @Station1. "The Advantage" could also refer to The Advantage (album), Advantage of terrain, or any of the ships named HMS Advantage.
  It is bizarre to claim that the majority" are best served by giving the bare title to this minor band. Pageview stats show that comparing the band with the other pages above the band got 69 hits in 90 days, the HMS Advantage (W133) got 70, and Advantage of terrain got 1,356. - @Zxcvbnm: if it's the name of an entity, then the ship HMS Advantage (W133) is way ahead until a late-December a spike in pageviews for the band, partly caused by this move discussion. Even with the spike included the ship is still ahead (70:69) on total views in the last 90 days.

IP 107.77.219.92[edit]

This IP has repeatedly removed the word "nintendocore" from the page several times, and I'm unsure whether this is simple genre-warring vandalism or an actual content dispute. The first edit had a summary of "Deleted information that was simply wrong". I pointed out that the band is highlighted as a representative Nintendo rock group on the nintendocore page and added sources. IP, do you have an argument to make here?
