Signing messages

It helps a lot if you put four tilde characters, ~~~~, at the end of your messages. This will be automatically converted to your "signature" which, unless you customized it, will contain a link to your user or user talk page or both, and the time and date. If you want to see how it looks, you can experiment in your personal sandbox, User:DestinationFearFan/sandbox. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:17, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tip! DestinationFearFan (talk) 22:33, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Aurora Negro moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Aurora Negro, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. –MJLTalk 19:46, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have added more sources and information, as well as moved the title from Aurora Negro (rabbit) to Aurora Negro. DestinationFearFan (talk) 18:43, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the list of pages you think should be created

Before starting, please read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fairfield County Infirmary. That was a "mass articles for deletion" discussion in which several topics that were featured on the Destination Fear (2019 TV series) television show, including most if not all of the topics you listed. All but two of the pages nominated were moved to "Draft" space. The names are the same, except they now starts with Draft:. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 18:13, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ohhhh, alright. I see that now as I look at them. When I look at the drafts, it seems that the drafts/deleted articles need more reliable sources, and should focus more on the history than the paranormal. DestinationFearFan (talk) 18:19, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Leapmotor

I recently made some changes (which you reverted) to Leapmotor which separated the "Sales" subchapter from the "Concept vehicles" chapter, fixed some minor errors, and most notably changed the model list to be much more compact and simpler. The reasoning for that was because usually articles on vehicle companies on Wikipedia do not have model lists in the format you had made. The format is also largely unneeded since articles for the Leapmotor S01 and T03 already exist. I highly suggest that a wikitable similar to this one be created, which I can easily do for you, but I would like your opinion first.

I am also going to point out that I have moved Category:Leapmotor Vehicles to Category:Leapmotor vehicles as per WP:CAPITALIZATION.

WaddlesJP13 (talk) 00:49, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that revert. I meant to click "thank", but hit "undo" instead. I will fix that now. Also, thank you for fixing that category.-DestinationFearFan (talk) 16:26, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Linking a file the easy way

I saw you are using web-links for images on your user page. You can wikilink a file, or for that matter a category or a different-language page by putting a colon in front of the name and treating it like any other wikilink:

The colon at the beginning "turns off" the "special" behavior normally associated with File:, Category:, and non-English-language-Wikipedia links and makes them act like normal links. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 00:58, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you! That does seem a bit easier. DestinationFearFan (talk) 17:57, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It took me awhile to figure this out. One good way to learn is to edit pages that have things in them like tables, pictures, links to pictures, etc. with "visual editor" turned off in your preferences. Preview your changes all you like, but don't save. If you need to save something, copy the page's "wiki-code" to your sandbox and play with it there. By the way, using a : doesn't "hurt" regular links - [[Encyclopedia]] and [[:Encyclopedia]] do the same thing. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:33, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Visual editor was a good way at the start, but now, visual editor takes 10-20 minutes to load. I do use my sandbox a lot though. DestinationFearFan (talk) 18:37, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, so there's another reason - slowness - to keep VE turned off? I'm old-school and since they don't have a working teletype-editing-mode I'm stuck with the classic editor. Say, you know where I can get some carbon paper, I'm running low. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:33, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Got to love 21st century technology. Also, no, I do not no where to get carbon paper 😂. Possibly Amazon. Everything is on Amazon these days. DestinationFearFan (talk) 19:51, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for responding to my message at the Teahouse. I was just wondering why IP’s can’t create userpages because there is some stuff on my talk page that would fit better on a user page. Again, thanks. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 17:38, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@47.227.95.73 Your welcome. I strongly suggest that you create a Wikipedia account, and then you can create a user page.DestinationFearFan (talk) 17:40, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
