Singer who does not meet the notability criteria. Originally speedily deleted, then recreated as a user subpage; moved to main space abuot 4 days later. Discussion took place on my talkpage here and on the article's talkpage here, but I do not find that either Tyers herself or the record label meet the notability criteria. • Comment (from article author) I have completely rewritten this article with new references. I have spent many hours on trying to perfect this article. I have provided notability criteria on the articles discussion page. Also I have included reliable third-party sources including a link to the artist charting on iTunes. I have never had an article removed on wikipedia except this page and the artists first cd page which you have deleted both of. I am not sure what more it is you would like in this article or what exactly it is that makes you so dead set against this artist being included.Reesrodgers (talk) 05:52, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  I'm not "dead set against this artist being included" - if reliable, independent sources could be found that showed that she met the criteria for inclusion, I'd have no problem with her having an article! As for not knowing what more is needed in the article, I feel that I have been very clear in what advice I have given you.

  I deleted the album, as the artist's page had been deleted, and an album would not be suitable for an article if the artist does not have an article, it was a procedural deletion. As for "never having an article removed on Wikipedia", whilst being true, this is not really reflecting the reality of the situation: your account was created on 24th June (a week and a half ago), and apart from this article and the album article, the only other creations you have made are Stop the Funeral (about an album by The Ambassador (William Branch)), a category (Category:The Ambassador albums) and Sing You To Sleep (Tyers' 2nd album, which would be deleted if this artist page is deleted). Whether the first two articles should be present in Wikipedia has no bearing on whether this article should be here. Whether the 3rd one should be present depends in part on this discussion - if the artist article is deleted, the album article should also be deleted; if the artist article is kept, the album article may or may not need to be deleted. However, whether you have had a million other articles deleted, or have created a million other articles which have not been deleted, that would have no bearing on this discussion. • Delete from what I can find, this singer does not pass WP:MUSIC. Charting on iTunes does not pass criteria #2 of this section, and Amazon.com and iTunes are not what I would consider to be reliable sources for sourcing, and certainly iTunes isn't third-party.   ArcAngel   (talk) ) 06:02, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
• Comment I hadn't looked at the creator's other edits, but since I was almost directed to do so by their comment above, I noticed that Sing You To Sleep is an album by Tyers. If this artist article is deleted, then that would need to be deleted under Speedy deletion criteria A9 'No indication of importance (musical recordings)'.
