• The statements at the original web site are very conflicting. - see http://www.gcmap.com/faq/using#wikipedia

One statement explicitly says "non-commercial" the other shows WP markup - Add to that http://www.gcmap.com/ says "All rights reserved." I wrote (from OTRS ticket 2014030110010311) to the web site owner e-mail link on the 1st March - no reply. So we need a consensus as to if these are truly free or not. Our main problem is that you specify using this template
((Attribution||[http://www.gcmap.com/ Great Circle Mapper]))

Now while that is a valid template, in the other questions on the same page you explicitly
state "non-commercial" - now that clashes with the result that the Wikipedia template
gives...
"The copyright holder of this file, Great Circle Mapper, allows anyone to use it for any
purpose, provided that the copyright holder is properly attributed. Redistribution,
derivative work, commercial use, and all other use is permitted."

While we are happy to leave it as it is, if you approve - we want to ensure that you
understand that if you agree to users using that template, then you are allowing full
commercial use.

I will also add that it is not possible to specify images on Wikipedia for non-commercial
use or Wikipedia only.

• Delete On that page, it says that you get a Wikipedia-only licence to use the image provided that you add the indicated code. The page also makes it clear that the image can't be used commercially (except on Wikipedia I presume). If you add the code to a page, the code expands to text which states that other use also is permitted, but since the author of that text clearly stipulated other terms, the terms indicated in the Wikipedia template can't be assumed to apply. The author of that page might not have understood what the output of the Wikipedia code means.
