On the 2010 Pacific hurricane season main page, there is a big clutter of dates and times that are supposed to be in their own article. Each year, a hurricane season article gets cluttered with dates that delimit the periods in which a system formed, strengthened, weakened, or dissipated. To get rid of the mess and the clutter, we put it all into another article to free up space for the main article for the hurricane season. The users who edit these pages always make sure that that page comes into play when the season gets at least three or more systems, to relive the clutter. We would be very thankful if this page gets restored. -STO12 (talk) 16:27, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Please republish my article regarding Tonga National Tag Team. It is a notable subject. Reasons given to me for deletion were Tag20 is not a sport and the article is about a club?
1. Tag20 Rugby IS A variation and a notable sport of Tag. It is played in Australia, England and New Zealand. Perhaps that person shold do some research. (www.Tag20.com)
2. Secondly and most importantly - this article is about a Nations (Tonga) National Team. There are hundreds of similar or the exact article on Wikipedia.
I still had information and images to be uploaded.
I dont understand how this proceedure works like this that an article can be deleted without review first before doing so. Alot of work goes into writing.
Please republish, I know I have abided within the guidelines. I am new and Im still trying to find things and how to get onto the reference template etc? Some people have here have been great, some not so.

To whom it may concern,
Please userfy this page so I may make the edits suggested by Cindamuse and resubmit it for review. Cindamuse asked for the page to be deleted because of one phrase that was used in the Membership description. That phrase: "FCSI-certified consultants possess expertise in all foodservice disciplines..." While this phrase is factual, Cindamuse believes that it is too promotional. I can understand that perspective and am glad to clarify it. However, it is also clear to me that editor Cindamuse does not understand that while membership in FCSI is open to any independent foodservice professional, the ability to achieve certification status in the group (i.e., the ability to add the letters FCSI after your name) is dependent on passing a series of tests that are regulated by the independent, not-for-profit FCSI Educational Foundation. Anyone who has achieved an FCSI certification really is a foodservice expert. This fact is also stated clearly in the description for this page.

The article was well sourced from the outset and nicely formatted. There was no discussion as to why it was suddenly changed into a link. Additionally, previous candidates who ran for the position have Wikipedia pages i.e. Dan Debicella and even candidates who dropped out of the race i.e. Chris Meek still have pages. This article was deleted because there wasn't anything terribly spectacular about their past. Thing is, the redirect is to Gatineau, in which there is no mention at all about the force. They've been accused of causing a death in a high-speed chase, shot a man, have been criticized over a murder case with no leads, which now they feel may be connected to Luka Magnotta, a recent Canadian murderer featured in an INTERPOL search. If there is something written that appears promotional, we are happy to make the required edits. However we are not clear as to why the content/page should be marked for deletion?

I'm surprised by the delete of the page Gérard Gertoux only on two votes and without real debate. Many informations are incorrects :
- First, his book is published in France at the editor account, after validation by a reading committee, and is included in a collection directed by two specialists on religious history and sociology.
- Secondly, his book translated in english is cited in various books. We find some of them on Google books, for exemple in bibliography of The Encyclopedia Of Christianity (Volume 5, page 824). A commentary in the Religious Studies Review (Vol. 29:3, 2003, p. 285) explains the interest of these researchs : « This detailed treatment of the Name is useful for those who are interested in the history of its translation over the centuries[9]. »
- At last, the author has been invited to participate at international conferences with See for exemple the program of an International Conference on the Archaeologie, History and Reception of Persepolis, Edinburgh University, Octobre 14h-16th 2011.
The page about Gérard Gertoux could be supplemented from the french page. DroitTJ (talk) 10:03, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

One of the reasons this page was deleted as that no one seemed to be able to find any books I have actually written. Please, I know it might not be appropriate for the actual author to reply, but since no one else seems to have even done a search on Amazon.com to see a listing of all my books, I thought I would simply ask that someone at WIKI or a 'reader' just go to Amazon.com, and search my name. I have written 42 books, over 34 DVD's and they are really in print, online and in many books stores. I do not understand why people are allowed to remove my page...after saying they couldn't find any of my books. Just type my name Gambordella on Gooogle, go do Amazon, and you will see them. Is that really so hard?

Wikipedia rules notwithstanding, removing an entire article about a notable topic merely due to lack of "independent sources" being cited seems unreasonable. I don't think this page needs to be deleted. Nikesh is not just a multiple world records holder. If he was only a world record holder, I am sure he wouldn't be qualified to be in Wikipedia. He is also a writer, journalist, activist and has achieved quite a lot at his young age. So, his biography doesn't need to be deleted from Wikipedia. Thank you. -Ath.Sn (talk) 04:55, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
This biography is not just about what world records he has made. In fact, records are only a part off his biography. He has been writer, freelance writer, journalist, activist, UN Volunteer. There are still many pages in Wikipedia which simply exist due to the person's single win in any beauty pageant and even playing role in any one film has automatically given someone a place in Wikipedia. But yes, this article may be improved but not deleted. Thanks! -202.52.235.145 (talk) 05:08, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
*This biography can be improved but not necessarily be deleted! There are still many pages in Wikipedia which exist here simply because a person has won one beauty pageant and also if someone has played role in one film. This biography is here not because the person is just simply a world record holder. -202.52.235.145 (talk) 05:34, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Let's not delete this article entirely but it can be improved. I don't think the person has been mentioned in this biography is here because of having those records but like as written in the bio and sources mentioned, he has also been writer, journalist, activist. There are still many poorly written articles on Wikipedia which have been there due to some overnight transformation of an individual. We need to look on that too. Let's not make this one article a subject matter of controversy. User:Gsdan012 -Gsdan012 (talk) 05:50, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Additionally, simply talking about the world records of this person also, these are really worth noting. The mention of these world records here is like mentioning the wins of an athlete and films of an actor. But again, it doesn't seem that the person is here in this biography just for the world records but his other contribution too. Here it seems world records of him are good to be mentioned but not the main part of the article. Wikipedia has no article of any individual just for being solely a world record holder. -Gsdan012 (talk) 06:01, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
