Suspected sockpuppets

Pretty obvious sockpuppetry. I nominated Smokey2022's article AUCS Linux for deletion and a few accounts started popping up, creating their user page, and immediately going to this AfD. Of the three, Catcorpteam and Will33333 were created within a few minutes of each other; Will33333 was created at 1:19 and commented on the AfD at 1:21. Catcorpteam was created 2 minutes later at 1:23 and edited the AfD at 1:25. Smokey2022 then logs back in and resumes editing at 1:28. Smokey2022 even corrected Anon01110111's "Save" to "Keep" at the same time that he corrected his own. - Aoidh (talk) 08:23, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I can see your logic, but I have changed my vote to a delete, and these accounts have not changed back. I would like to point out that the AUCS corporation sent an email blast asking users who have registered their email with AUCS to create Wikipedia accounts and vote to keep the article. I know this because I was one of them. As I said before, I am not a sock puppeteer. -Smokey2022 (talk) 11:31, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

All of which is completely irrelevant to this SPI. Changing your mind once you realize you got caught doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior. The timing of the account creation as it matches with your editing makes it extremely unlikely that it was anyone other than you who created these accounts, especially given that they first created userpages to make their account names blue, something most new editors wouldn't do, and most new editors wouldn't be able to create an account and create a user page and find the AfD and comment within a couple of minutes of each other. All of those factors taken into account, your claims that you didn't create these accounts don't really hold much weight, and the fact that your master account changed their !vote after this SPI was created doesn't mean you didn't create those accounts to try to subvert consensus on Wikipedia. - Aoidh (talk) 18:44, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New editor went right into self nominating for adminship and wound up blocked as a sockpuppet. On investigation, I was led to this case. —DoRD (talk) 21:14, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
