Suspected sockpuppets
[edit]

Evidence submitted by Hairhorn
[edit]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Runecats Explorer has uncovered a whole warren of sock- and/or meat-puppets. User:Wikedit-34 is the oldest of the accounts and may or may not be involved. Most accounts are SPAs centred around Runecats Explorer, User:Ecofreakoftreeland and User: John2232 have tried to add up edits outside of Runecats Explorer by adding blank lines to unrelated articles.

Some of this may be meatpuppetry rather than outright socks, but I rather suspect most are socks, since they seem to be appearing one right after the other in the AfD debate. Hairhorn (talk) 17:41, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definite sockpuppetry, if not meatpuppetry, present here. Blocked all. PeterSymonds (talk) 13:35, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I missed this one the first time around. Another new account with the same circle of edits and a serious vandal edit ([1]) on the AfD page. Hairhorn (talk) 11:27, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New account . Made "keep" comment in previous sockpuppets' style. Also all the sockpuppets' nicks plus this one can be found at Runecats Forum. SkyBonTalk/Contributions 18:49, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: No action taken at this time, unless the disruption starts back up. Looks like clear off-wiki canvassing/meatpuppetry, probably not clear socking. The admin who closes that AFD has the prerogative to disregard said commentary by those users as policy prescribes. MuZemike 02:02, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
