The 1777 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 29 May 1777 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Incumbent Anti-Federalist Governor of Virginia Patrick Henry won re-election in the Virginia General Assembly as he ran unopposed.
On election day, 29 May 1777, Anti-Federalist candidate Patrick Henry easily won re-election as he ran unopposed. Henry was sworn in for his second term on 1 June 1777.[1]
