The Colorado Rockies' 2000 season was the eighth for the Rockies. They competed in the National League West. Buddy Bell was their manager. They played home games at Coors Field. They finished with a record of 82-80, 4th in the NL West. Despite the team finishing 4th in their division and finishing with a mediocre record, the team batted excellently; the 2000 Rockies combined for a team batting average of .294, which was the integration era's highest mark since the 1950 Boston Red Sox batted .302. They led the league in hits, triples, and intentional walks; finished 2nd in on-base percentage (tied with the San Francisco Giants) and runs scored; and third in stolen bases (tied with the San Diego Padres) and least total strikeouts.
