Alba Township is one of twenty-four townships in Henry County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 220 and it contained 95 housing units.[2] Alba Township changed its name from Elba Township on April 13, 1857. The name may be derived from Elba, New York, the native home of a share of the early settlers.[3]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.09 square miles (93.5 km2), of which 36.01 square miles (93.3 km2) (or 99.78%) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) (or 0.22%) is water.[2]
