Balychevo (Russian: Балычево) is a rural locality (Russian: деревня, lit. 'village') in Starkovsky Selsoviet Rural Settlement, Oktyabrsky District, Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 0 (2010 Census);[2] 15 (2002 Census);[8]
The village is located on the Rogozna Brook (a right tributary of the Sukhaya Rogozna in the Seym River basin), 81 km from the Russia–Ukraine border, 23 km north-west of Kursk, 19 km north-west of the district center – the urban-type settlement Pryamitsyno, 6 km from the selsoviet center – Starkovo.[9]
Balychevo has a warm-summer humid continental climate (Dfb in the Köppen climate classification).
