Cameron Rooney is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Lower Breck on loan from EFL League Two club Morecambe.

Career

Rooney joined Morecambe having previously represented Liverpool Schoolboys at under-13s level. Although originally a striker, he dropped deeper into a midfield position.[2]

Following relegation back to League Two, Rooney became more heavily involved in the first-team picture ahead of the 2023–24 season.[3] On 10 October 2023, Rooney made his professional debut for Morecambe, scoring in a 3–1 EFL Trophy victory over Barrow.[4] He joined Nantwich Town on a one-month youth loan later in that same week.[5] In January 2024, he joined North West Counties Football League Premier Division club Lower Breck on a work-experience loan deal.[6]
