Chali Khamaz (Persian: چالي خماز)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Baruq Rural District of the Central District of Baruq County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,501 in 341 households, when it was in Baruq District of Miandoab County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,557 people in 437 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,431 people in 452 households.[2]
In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Baruq County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Baruq as its capital and only city.[7]
