Chashm (Persian: چاشم)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Chashm Rural District[4] of Shahmirzad District, Mehdishahr County, Semnan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 483 in 126 households, when it was in the former Mehdishahr District of Semnan County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 725 people in 222 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Mehdishahr County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 566 people in 196 households; it was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
