Official Flag of the Una Nation

The Una Nation of Mixed-Bloods, an unrecognized Native American Mixed-blood tribal group of Mixed-bloods, based in Eugene, Oregon, claim to be a "Native American Mixed-Blood tribe."[1] The group offers enrollment to anyone with at least one Native American ancestor.[2]

History

In 2015, the Una Nation announced it had renounced all monetary and benefit rights that recognition would bring.[3] Subsequently, they sought state recognition from Oregon, where they are based.[4][5]

In 2016, the mayor of Springfield, Oregon read a proclamation recognizing and honoring the Una Nation.[6]

In 2019, the group announced that it had offered tribal enrollment to Senator Elizabeth Warren.[7] In the same year, the tribe claimed 35,000 enrolled members.[8]
