Gonbad Rural District (Persian: دهستان گنبد) is in the Central District of Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Gonbad.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,916 in 893 households.[5] There were 3,233 inhabitants in 922 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,991 in 927 households. The most populous of its 17 villages was Gonbad, with 1,654 people.[2]
