I Can See Your Voice franchise |
I Can See Your Voice Indonesia is an Indonesian television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same name. Since the show's premiere on 29 August 2016,[1][2] it has aired five seasons on MNCTV.
Presented with a group of "mystery singers"[a] identified only by their occupation, a guest artist must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds.[a] At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.
The Indonesian counterpart has two different game formats:
If the singer is good, he/she will feature on a privilege video; if the singer is bad, he/she wins a cash prize.[a]
Media Nusantara Citra formally acquired the rights to produce a local adaptation of I Can See Your Voice in Indonesia in July 2016.[6]
Filiming of the show took place at MNC Studios in Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was made under implementing health and safety protocols only in the fifth season.[7]
I Can See Your Voice Indonesia debuted on 28 August 2016.[1][2] A second season began airing with a first part on 30 January 2017, and then second part on 15 May 2017.[a] In the third season having premiered on 11 March 2018,[13][14] Devano Danendra defeated Iis Dahlia on its first episode under battle format on 17 June 2018.[15][16] Despite having aired entirely in 2019, the fourth season premiered on the last day of 2018.[17] The fifth season that initially scheduled to premiere on 18 January 2021,[18] was later moved to 25 January 2021.[19][20]
