I Can See Your Voice franchise |
Mutasd a hangod! (English: Show me your voice!)[1] is a Hungarian television mystery music game show based on South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. Since its premiere on 10 September 2023,[2][3] it has aired two seasons on TV2.
Presented with a group of "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and contestants must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[a]
The contestants must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving 500,000 Ft if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of the game, the contestants may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to win 5,000,000 Ft by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad.
Notes:
In November 2020, both RTL Klub (nowadays as RTL) and TV2 have made interests to adapt I Can See Your Voice,[5] which would subsequently announce through a joint agreement with CJ ENM and Fremantle for its development phase.[6] Also, RTL Magyarország has already preparing for another South Korean show to be adapted,[7] as it follows the successful broadcasts of Álarcos énekes.[8] Then in April 2023, TV2 Csoport formally acquired the rights to produce a Hungarian counterpart of that show.[9] It is produced by IKO Műsorgyártó; the staff team is managed by executive producer Attila Kirády; producers Ákos Farkas and László Forgó; and director Róbert Vígh.[10]
The show's title Mutasd a hangod![1] comes from a direct Hungarian translation of the French counterpart Show Me Your Voice.[11][12] It was tentatively titled Látom a hangodat from the same process as in the English title I Can See Your Voice.[5]
Mutasd a hangod! debuted on 10 September 2023,[2][3] but the first season prematurely ended on 30 September 2023,[13] and then returned to its rescheduled date on 9 December 2023,[14][15] with the fourth season premiere of Ázsia Expressz that occupied its original finale week.[16][17] At the recent Big Picture media upfronts, the series has been already renewed for a second season[18][19] that premiered on 3 February 2024.[20][21]
