The inauguration of Jose P. Laurel as the third president of the Philippines and the first president of the Second Philippine Republic under Imperial Japan took place on October 14, 1943 at Legislative Building, City of Greater Manila (present-day Manila). The inauguration marked the beginning of the first and last term of Laurel as President.[1] The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines José Yulo.
