It is found in Austria, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland, North Korea, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Its natural habitat is swamps. It is threatened by habitat loss.
