John Malloy (born September 19, 1975^[1]), known professionally as FLuX, is an American contemporary artist, illustrator, and author. His work has won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, including Communication Arts, Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, and Creativity International.

Classically trained in trompe l'oeil, a hyper-realistic style of painting meant to "fool the eye" of the viewer into believing what's painted is reality, he creates work that combines this technique with Art Nouveau traits inspired by artists like Alphonse Mucha and Winsor McCay, to create a completely new and unique art form known as Trompe Nouveau.

His paintings have been exhibited around the world, included in collections with notable artists such as Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Kara Walker, and Takashi Murakami. He has worked commercially for brands like Apple, Swatch, Focus Features, Paramount+, FX, Puma, Diesel, Peace Tea, and Monster Energy.^[2]

His first graphic novel, Amnesia,^[3] was one of the first of its kind to explore the concept of the multiverse. His second graphic novel, Good: From the Amazon Jungle to Suburbia and Back,^[4] will be released by NBM Publishing in the Spring of 2024. He fully illustrated and co-authored the book with David Good, son of American anthropologist Kenneth Good and Yanomami mother Yarima. The book chronicles David's coming-of-age story.
