Karaftu Rural District (Persian: دهستان كرفتو)[3] is in the Central District of Takab County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Qujeh.[5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 4,586 in 891 households.[6] There were 3,792 inhabitants in 832 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,205 in 885 households. The most populous of its 20 villages was Chap Darreh, with 623 people.[2]
