Biography

Early life

Lewandowski was born on April 13, 1988, in San Francisco, California, to a Filipina mother and an American father of German and Polish descent.[1] Her first name translates to "free" in Tagalog. She grew up in Fairfield, California.[2]

Lewandowski won several beauty contests in the United States, the last three being Miss California Teen USA, Miss Teen Filipina, and Miss Fiesta Filipina.[3] She was discovered when she won the Miss Teen Filipina competition.[2] A talented singer, she spent time in Manila exploring the Philippine showbiz.

Career

Lewandowski is currently under contract with ABS-CBN's Star Magic. She was a regular guest star in ASAP and became part of various TV specials with ABS-CBN.[3] She has also appeared in Wowowee and Let's Go. Her first regular stint was in Bora: Sons of the Beach.

She was part of the defunct all-girl group of Star Magic artists called Koolchx.[3] Along with the rest of the Koolchx, Lewandowski appeared on the cover of Maxim Philippines March 2008 issue.[4] She hosted two segments in Myx North America as a North America Myx VJ, OMG, and Music Bang.[3]

Not Gabby Concepcion's Daughter

Between April and May 2008, Buzz station ran a segment about the love child of matinee idol, Gabby Concepcion.[5] According to the clues provided, the child was of Filipina-Polish descent, had a half-sister who had just joined showbiz, and was a member of the Koolchx.[6]

All clues given by Buzz station seemed to point to Lewandowski. However, she denied the reports, saying that she knew the actor, as Gabby Concepcion was a family friend. She refused to lend credence to the controversies to separate her career and fame from Concepcion.[7]

Split up with Rafael Rosell

In 2009, news came out that Lewandowski and Rafael Rosell, whom she dated for three years, had split. In the press conference of the film Status: Single, Rosell stunned audiences when he broke down in tears and confirmed his breakup with Lewandowski.[8] In an April 2009 episode of The Buzz, Rosell gave details on the split in an interview with Kris Aquino.[9][10]

In January 2009, Lewandowski admitted to Rosell that she had feelings for a gym instructor at the gym that the couple attended and had confessed them to him. According to Rosell, Lewandowski did not come clear about the reason of the breakup, but he deduced that she chose the other man over him.[10]

Still, in the interview, Rosell revealed that he learned from friends that in February, Lewandowski and the unnamed guy began dating. He also revealed that he received an email from Lewandowski, who was 21 at that time, that she was engaged to the man.[10] The couple eventually got married, but separated after a few years.
