Marina Manishi (English: Changed Person ) is a 1970 Telugu, Action drama film, produced by S. L. Nehata, S. Soudappan on Srikanth Productions banner[3] and directed by C. S. Rao.[4] Starring N. T. Rama Rao, Vijaya Nirmala in the lead roles[5] and music composed by T. V. Raju.[6]

Plot

Raju (N. T. Rama Rao) a thief lives by pickpocketing along with his mother Lakshmamma (Hemalatha). Lakshmamma does not know Raju's reality and thinks that her son is living a respectable life. Gopi (Chalam) an orphan does a robbery out of hunger and caught by people. Lakshmamma saves him, changes him by saying that doing robbery is wrong thing and gives him shelter. Raju & Gopi becomes good friends. Once Raju steals a diamond necklace from a dancer. On his way back, He is pulled into the dark room by a notorious burglar Rangoon Ranganna (Satyanarayana) and snatches the necklace from him. Ranganna has two faces in the same city in lives as famous Hotel Prince proprietor by the name Bhupathi. Tara (Jyothi Lakshmi) is his brother’s daughter. In fact, the entire property belongs to Tara but According to her father‘s will, she gets property only after the marriage. Bhupathi is waiting for the opportunity to grab the property. One day Raju sees the same necklace Taara wearing he asks her to give back where Tara starts loving him and don't. Parallelly, Hotel Prince manager is Murthy (Ramakrishna) his wife Janaki (Manimala) and they are having a child. His mother Rajamma (Malathi) and sister Gauri (Vijaya Nirmala) lives in the village. Due to Murthy has done intercaste marriage he does not reveal it to his mother & sister.

Bhupathi plans a bank robbery and succeeds in it. Murthy slightly comes to know regarding this matter but he keeps silent due to the fear. To clear the debt on house Gauri comes to the city along with the lender Senaiah (Allu Ramalingaiah). Raju steals the purse of Gauri. At the same time, Gauri is kidnapped by some goons. Raju rescues her and both of them fell in love. Raju accompanies Gopi with Gauri and safely sends to her brother. Murthy takes her to Bhupathi for asking his help when Bhupathi is attracted towards Gauri. Murthy sends Gauri back to the village and says that he will arrange the money in few days. Murthy takes money from Bhupathi but he gives fake currency which he has stolen from the bank. Murthy reaches postoffice to send the money which is again stolen by Raju. Shocked Murthy dies of heart attack. When Raju opens the cover he reads the letter written to his mother, understands their pathetic situation and goes to Murthy’s house. Raju realizes all his misdeeds and goes to the village clears debt when he comes to that Gauri is Murthy's sister and they do not know regarding his wife & child. After that Raju is straggling out of contrition, then a saint Baba (Chittor V. Nagaiah) who runs an Ashram guides him to dedicate his to those people to whom has harmed as a penance for his sin. Raju goes for Murthy's family at that time Janaki tries to commit suicide, Raju protects her keeps them In Baba's Ashram and takes care of them by riding a cycle rickshaw.

But unfortunately, Senaiah comes to know that the money is fake currency. He gives Police complaint, Bhupathi throws the blame on Raju and they are in search of him. Rajamma & Gauri come to the city to meet Murthy. While in search of address they meet Lakshmamma. She brings them to her house. Rajamma comes to know that Raju is the son of Lakshmamma. They quarrel with her and leaves the house. When she questions Raju he admits his mistake. Knowing this Lakshamma commits suicide. Bhupathi takes Rajamma & Gauri into custody and orders his henchmen to kill Rajamma and tries to molest Gauri. Raju protects her when she comes to know Raju is innocent. Simultaneously, Rajamma is saved by Janaki and takes her to Ashram. She also comes to know that her son is expired and Janaki is her daughter-in-law. At the same time, Raju reaches there along with Gauri and says that he is responsible for Murthy's death. Everyone Raju brings out Bhupathi and his gang’s acts and also Rowdy Rajanna and get them arrested. Everyone now accepts Raju and forgive his past deeds.
