Mark Solonin (born 29 May 1958) is a Russian author of numerous non-fiction books on the Second World War.[1][2] An aviation engineer by training, he has lived since 2016 in Estonia.[3]

Solonin is criticized for his books, which are claimed to be pseudohistorical by his detractors, and for supporting works such as Icebreaker by Viktor Suvorov about the beginning of the Second World War.[5]: 40 [6][7][8]
