National Highway 53, NH53 is a national highway in Nepal located in Lumbini Province of Nepal. The total length of the highway is 127.92 kilometres (79.49 mi).[1] [2] Feeder road F013 was converted and upgraded into NH53. [3]
Three to four hundred vehicles daily use the road from Bhalubang in Dang to Pyuthan Khalanga and Rolpa Libang to Darbot.[4] 40 million Nepali Rupees budget has been allocated for the financial year 2081/082 in the Bhaluwang-Chakchake section of the Bhaluwang-Liwang-Madichour-Darbot road under the Highway Upgrades and Rehabilitation Program. [5]
It is situated 26 km west of Khalanga in Pyuthan in Rapti Zone north of Dang Valley at an altitude of 2200 meters. The name Swargadwari means gateway to heaven. It is associated with a saint named Swargadwari Mahaprabhu who took samadhi in 1940 AD.There is a big fair at the site in Nepali month of Kartik and Baisakh.
Access: Swargadwari can be reaved via two different routes. While one way goes through Ghorai-Holari in Dang, the other route goes through Bhalubang- Bhingri road in Pyuthan. Both routes constitute about half a day’s journey on bus.[6]
