Shirinu (Persian: شيرينو, also Romanized as Shīrīnū, Shīrīnnū, Shīrīno, and Shirinoo)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Shirinu Rural District of Siraf District of Kangan County, Bushehr province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 1,160 in 266 households, when it was in Taheri Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,441 people in 689 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 9,976 people in 1,087 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
In 2017, the rural district and the city of Bandar Siraf were separated from the district in the establishment of Siraf District, which was divided into two rural districts.[4]
