Sky Force is an upcoming Hindi-language action-thriller film written by Sandeep Kewlani and directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. It stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur.[1][2] The film is based on a true story.[3]

Cast

Production

The film was announced in March 2023.[4][5] Later actor Akshay Kumar confirmed the movie on 2 October 2023, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.[6][7] The film is inspired by India's retaliatory attack on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965.[8][9]

Filming

The film is reported to be shot in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam.[10] The team arrived in Lucknow for filming on 24 August 2023.[11][12][13] Some parts of the film shot in Sitapur of Lucknow.[14] Principal photography of the film began in August 2023.[15][16] Filming concluded on 26 April 2024.[17]

Casting

Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur joined the casting in mid 2023.[18] Veer Pahariya plays the role of Squadron Leader MVC Ajjamada B. Devaiah.[19]

Release

Sky Force film is set to theatrical release on 2 October 2024.[20]
