Tidal volume
The definition of tidal volume is often misquoted. Here it is misquoted from the listed reference. A tidal volume is the volume of air that moves into or out of the lungs in a single breath. Critically its value changes. For example during exercise tidal volumes are very large, when at rest tidal volumes are lower. I removed the phrase "in a normal breath" to make the definition accurate, and added the phrase "at rest" to qualify the 500mL value when at rest.current
