11:48, 17 October 2023Doug Wellertalkcontribs blocked Destrylevigriffithtalkcontribs with an expiration time of indefinite (account creation blocked) (Clearly not here to build an encyclopedia note also that they admit to editing with an IP address which was blocked. Even if that/those block(s) have lapsed, as we rarely do indefinite blocks of IP addresses, this is block evasion. Uhhh: being bold? At least you have the honest warning right in the text that you'll simply revert.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit

→Pseudoarchaeology: Put the '''s'' inline with the rest of the word, As it seems to look better and is more consistent with general practice here at least so far as I've seenTags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit

Scientific method
Further massaging toward that same authoritative, Wikipedia-style voice that seems to exclude parentheticals from ledes. I understand if this edit is reverted for putting undue weight.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit

→Thought experiments: Slight clarifying addition. Science is very new relative to the arts, hence (perhaps) it's still a bit mired in its more dogmatic self-conceptions. There USED to be more of a "one way" of painting, "the" way of playing guitar or the piano, etc.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit

Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth
→"But I know the truth!": More specificity (Pasteur himself may have been making grumblings, but would've been considered fringe until he was accepted — especially if he weren't recognized or accredited). Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Wikipedia would've affirmed that the earth is the immobile center of the universe upon the conclusion of Galileo's court proceedings, in which it was legally declared so.Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit

Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth
→"But I know the truth!": More accurate and consistent. Eg for example im sure that if i go to the evolution page, it's "the process by which.." such and such happens (life evolves), not "the currently accepted theory about how life evolves which claims this, that, and the other."Tags: RevertedMobile editMobile web edit
