Killing of Latasha Harlins
3 changes were made. (1) Based on consensus, "shot in the head" was changed to "fatally shot. (2) I reordered things to make more sense: specifically to (a) crime, (b) punishment, and (c) link between Latasha's death and the riots. (3) I removed the sentence about Westchester high school which appears in both Background, and the info box to the right. It seemed like an outlier, but if you think it should be re-added, please do so.Tag: Visual edit

Killing of Latasha Harlins
List was incomplete, added more penalties levied on Du from FindLaw and the Stevenson book. Refrained from mentioning 10 year suspended sentence, since probation implies it. Goodfaith comments and edits are definitely welcome.Tag: Visual edit

Killing of Latasha Harlins
Undid revision 941481022 by Grayfell (talk) I think you're deliberately misunderstanding me about sources, but that's alright. If you respect accuracy, I will leave "shot in the head" if you allow "altercation" otherwise, I'll have to go to the editors.Tag: Undo

Killing of Latasha Harlins
Undid revision 941479646 by Grayfell (talk): I agree assault is not neutral, but altercation definitely is neutral. "Shot in the head" is definitely not neutral: and part of a racist tendency in history to disrespect the bodies of non-white individuals through over-exposure. The video is a primary source, and primary sources are generally accepted for historical accuracy. I'm not sure why you disagree with splitting the sentences.Tag: Undo

Fixed grammar. Korean-born is like saying Russian-born, or African-born. Korea-born is better, but the writer's intention to emphasize "foreign" characteristics makes the use of "foreign-born" more accurate.Tag: Visual edit

Tomb of the General
There were too many translations of the Tomb of the General which inhibited readability, so I parsed it down to three. I improved grammar, flow, and diction according to encyclopedic tone.Tag: Visual edit

South Korea in the Vietnam War
→Causes: There was a misrepresentation of Jiyul Kim's seminar paper "U.S. and Korea in Vietnam and the Japan-Korea Treaty." The previous writer solely emphasized the economic reasons for Korea's entry into the war, in direct contrast to the actual paper which on page 2 states "characterizing Korea's involvement in Vietnam in purely economic terms ignores the significant military and political factors involved." I've also added historical context of the broader proxy-war conflict.
