hours are the other common grouping of seconds and "multiples of seconds are counted in ... seconds" seems somewhat redundant since individual seconds aren't usually considered a "multiple" although I suppose they're a multiple of factor 1 :)

Longer times than AoU are definitely "meaningful" given they are talked about by a great many scientists, even though they _haven't happened yet_, and the age of the universe is growing all the time.
