Ethiopia
Amharic is de-facto the official language of the country, even if "by the letter of the law' it has 5 "official" languages. This is because almost and in-fact every activity at the federal level is conducted by Amharic and Amharic only, such as publishing passports in Amharic, IDs in Amharic, license plates in Amharic, education system thought in Amharic, LAWS published in Amharic, court rulings in Amharic. There is nothing to suggest otherwise, therefore removing this edit is very ignorant.Tags: RevertedVisual edit

Undid revision 1119382524 by Heroic adventure (talk) Again those 80 languages are not used in passports, those 80 languages are not used to publish laws passed by parliament, nor issue drivers license: your argument is very weak, Amharic is the only language which fulfills all of those. Plus do not remove Axum, this will be viewed as vandilism.Tags: UndoReverted

Leaving out the Axumite Empire which had well documented undisputed areological records out from the formation section of Ethiopia is very wired.Tags: RevertedVisual edit

Amharic
Amharic is not only spoken by amharas as first languages, i am Oromo and my family is Oromo they spoke Amharic as first language then later learned Oromo language. Being from Oromo or other ethnicities doesn't necessarily make me able to speak my ethnic groups language automatically just heritage.Tags: RevertedVisual edit
