Judiciary of Germany
→Lay judges: updated exclusion criteria following a change in the law; "but this does not occur often": unsourced (and, from practical experience, incorrect)--as a general matter, it seems questionable to base statements on the *current* state of the lay judiciary on a 50-year old law review article. i'm not sure what "[do not] directly examine documents before the court" is supposed to mean and the source provided does not seem to contain such a statement.

Chancellor of Germany
removed salary: please read the source carefully. it states that chancellor merkel had an annual salary of €351,552. but mrs. merkel was also a member of parliament, for instance, hence that figure cannot be equated with the chancellor's salary. de:Bundeskanzler (Deutschland)#Amtsbezüge suggests something in the ballpark of €250k.
