California
→Etymology: This is incorrect - Ulloa proved California was a peninsula, and it was shown as such for another 60 years on maps. The island depiction came later. This is well-documented in the Island of California entry. Source here is dubious as well.

Emily Oster
Tenure denial needs citation and seems inappropriate for an intro parenthetical. It might be best to re-do the intro to focus on books (primary area of notability?) and move the research history to the Career section?

Virtue signalling
Removed photo and claim about JK Rowling being a person accused of virtue signalling, which had no citation in the caption or supporting discussion in the article. The article photo is an especially dicey place for what comes off as an un-cited editorial statement.

Robert Wright (journalist)
Small edit for readability. I wonder if there is a clean way to capture that Wright's notability extends beyond journalism to expertise in the subject matters he covers, but I'm not sure how to phrase it. Something better than the "scholar" that was there before?

Second voyage of HMS Beagle
Changed map file. I'd be open to a better one, but the previous version was a bizarre yellow on blue with shadow-effect labels that removed half of the Pacific Ocean.
