Stephanie Vaquer (born March 29, 1993) is a Chilean professional wrestler who primarily wrestles in the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where she is the current CMLL World Women's Champion, in her first reign; and one-half of the inaugural CMLL World Women's Tag Team Champions - with Zeuxis, both in her first reign.[1] She has also wrestled in Japan for major promotions such as Stardom and Ice Ribbon.[2][3]
Vaquer began training in professional wrestling in February 2009 under Paul Slandering. Her first documented matches were from August 2010 at smaller events in Chile, when she went by the name Dark Angel.[4] On December 22, 2013, she made her debut in Mexico in a match against Heroína in the Arena Coliseo Coacalco.[5] In Mexico, she would be trained by Ricky Marvin, Último Guerrero,[1] Gran Apache and Villano IV.[6]
In 2018, Vaquer made her debut in Japan for the women's promotion Stardom, and wrestled five matches over three weeks from July to August, including a title match.[2][7] That same year, she also wrestled for WWE in her home country when the promotion toured Chile.[8]
Vaquer began wrestling for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico in August 2019[1] and is a seasonal recurring name there as she alternates time in Mexico with time in Japan.[8] She was CMLL's first female South American wrestler.[9]
On February 10, 2023, Vaquer began teaming up with a returning Zeuxis where they defeated Marcela and Princesa Sugehit.[10] On March 21, they defeated Las Chicas Indomables La Jarochita and Lluvia to become the inaugural Occidente Women's Tag Team Champions. It also marks Vaquer's first title in CMLL.[11][12] On September 16, at the CMLL 90th Anniversary Show, Vaquer and Zeuxis defeated Las Chicas Indomables again, this time to become the inaugural CMLL World Women's Tag Team Champions.[13][14] On September 29, at CMLL Noche de Campeones, Vaquer defeated La Catalina to win the vacant CMLL World Women's Championship.[15]
On April 27, 2023, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) announced that Vaquer would represent CMLL in a four-woman single-elimination tournament On May 21 at Resurgence to crown the inaugural Strong Women's Champion.[16] At Resurgence, Vaquer lost to Mercedes Moné during the semi-finals of the tournament.[17] On November 10, at Lonestar Shootout, Vaquer challenged Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship, but was unsuccessful.[18]
Vaquer has described Reina Dorada as her closest friend.[19] She is 160 centimeters tall, and also has Mexican citizenship.[20]
On March 4, 2023, Vaquer filed a domestic violence criminal complaint against Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide World Trios Champion El Cuatrero, who had worked with her in the past for CMLL. According to the complaint, Cuatrero choked her and threw her against a wall. On March 9, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre released a statement stating that they "energetically condemn any form of violence against women and reiterate our commitment to promote a life free of violence and harassment in our staff and attendees to our arenas."[21] On March 10, after a show for AAA in the city of Aguascalientes, El Cuatrero was arrested on an arrest warrant in Mexico City and charged with attempted femicide and domestic violence.[22]
