SOmething wrong with percentages in first paragraph, I do not understand them. 1370% growth in the 70`s???? that is imposible, if we divide by 10 (a decade) the average growth was 137% (more or less) a year!!! that is impossible!!
The Source is the CIA World Factbook which I like to use too, but all these figures are price adjusted, there is only 1 figure in the GDP "oficial change rate" or so, this is for Oman... let me take a look:
GDP (purchasing power parity): $94.86 billion (2013 est.) country comparison to the world: 77 $90.28 billion (2012 est.) $85.99 billion (2011 est.) note: data are in 2013 US dollars
GDP (official exchange rate): $81.95 billion (2013 est.)
This is quite ok... USA is 1 to 1... well like many things in the CIA Factbook that are wrong, of course always letting the US looking better. For some african countries the rate is much more extreme...or asian.
sri Lanka:
GDP (purchasing power parity): $134.5 billion (2013 est.) country comparison to the world: 65
GDP (official exchange rate): $65.12 billion (2013 est.)
Tanzania:
GDP (purchasing power parity): $79.29 billion (2013 est.) country comparison to the world: 83
GDP (official exchange rate): $31.94 billion (2013 est.)
Same with the GDP for People... if a GDP yearly would be 7,929 US-$ than in fact in Tanzania it would be only 3,194 US-$ but the Facebook would write 7,929... but this is quite a difference having 3.19$ or 7.92$ daily, to buy food for example... Kilon22 (talk) 21:08, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
