He's listed under the category of Gay politicians, yet there is no mention of his sexual orientation in his biography. If he is indeed gay, it should be noted in his biography, with footnoted reference(s) documenting this.
There isn't historical documentation that he was gay and I have removed gay innuendo from his bio in the past. He was known to have an active dating life in both Detroit and Washington. See Arc of Justice by Kevin Boyle, which is actually an item of historical research rather than rumor. I have removed the "gay politician tag". I also removed the direct quote from the Straight Dope. The article doesn't reference historical scholarship regarding drug use. It's true that he was hospitalized while on the court, but he died while serving on the court due to heart problems. "Closet Case" and it is also discussed in this article: Bak, Richard , "(Frank) Murphy's Law", Hour Detroit, September, 2008. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 18:20, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Stan
The article downplays the role Edward G. Kemp played in his life. Kemp and Murphy met in law school. They became life-long friends and companions. Kemp went with Murphy to the Phillipines. Kemp was his assistant when he was the governor of Michigan. Kemp and Murphy started a law practice together in Detroit. Kemp was Murphy's assistant when he was Attorney General of the US. The article also has lots of heterosexual innuendo that should be removed. Ydorb (talk) 17:59, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Image:Seal-of-Michigan.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Can somebody put those in, and satisfy the wiki police that those images are in the public domain? This article certainly warrants it. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 21:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Stan
Here's something to puzzle over. It is offered for entertainment purposes only. Frank Murphy birth chart. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 16:32, 12 April 2009 (UTC) Stan
This article could benefit from some pictures. These could include the official Supreme Court portrait (assuming that there is not a copyright problem, since it is a publicly paid for work) which can be found at Oyez: U.S. Supreme Court media on Frank Murphy. It could include the Milles "Hand of God" statue. It could include pictures of his home and office, of the historical markers. This is just to name a few possibilities. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 21:15, 28 April 2008 (UTC) Stan
A temporary subpage at User:Polbot/fjc/Frank Murphy was automatically created by a perl script, based on this article at the Biographical Directory of Federal Judges. The subpage should either be merged into this article, or moved and disambiguated. Polbot (talk) 16:47, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
This paragraph is a mystery. Were the Michigan guys that bad? :P
I know that he only accepted aides from his alma mater but why would they have such an effect on the DOJ?

It's out of control in this article. I count over 30 links. The article on Chief Justice Earl Warren has a 1/3 of that. So I'm going to trim it down. Not every person and case with a connection to Murphy needs a link.- William 14:36, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
