The page says "It was originally developed by Mutoh Europe nv with the brand name i²"

However, the first product using the interweaving print technique was the MUTOH ValueJet 1204, which is developed by Mutoh Industries Ltd. (from Japan), not Mutoh Europe.

Although shortly thereafter, Mutoh Europe launched its own i²-enabled products.

However, it could be possible that Mutoh Europe invented the brand name i². The Mutoh Japan website does not use the brand name (as far as I know).

Verification of this information: check the press releases on www.mutoh.be: ValueJet 1204 started shipping October 3, 2006.

i²-enabled products developed by Mutoh Europe were announced November 29, 2006 (RockHopper 3 / Spitfire Extreme).

The ValueJet was even introduced by mutoh.com in 2006, April (however it does not say when they started selling it).

Also nowadays, other manufacturers are promoting "new printing technologies" that are suspicially similar to the Mutoh system. 91.176.122.109 (talk) 17:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
