A number of stats need to be updated, mostly. As I have a financial COI with Jardine Matheson, I'm not editing the page itself but instead requesting an interested volunteer(s) review the changes, and if they agree, implement them directly. Thank you :) JeanetteM2 (talk) 01:05, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Add Astra as Subsidiary
As a major holding under Jardine Cycle & Carriage, Astra International could be added to the subsidiary list in the infobox. Not sure why it's not already there?

Jardine Lloyd Thompson is no longer a subsidiary after being acquired by Marsh & McLennan in 2019.
Changes needed:
Update of Profit Percentages
Pretty much all the numbers/stats look like they were added around 2010, or some in 2013. Simple updates:
In 2nd para in lead, "41 percent of the company profits were still earned in China," could be updated to 58 percent in 2019

Fortune 500 Update
In the 3nd para in lead, switch 2013 Fortune ranking with "Jardine Matheson is a Fortune Global 500 company."

Jardine Shipping Services was recently sold to Connexus, and the mention could be removed from the Jardine Pacific section.

Square feet in this section is outdated, in the second sentence, need to change 5,000,000 square feet (45,000 m2) to "9,140,000 square feet (850,000 m2)"

1st Paragraph changes
A few roles have changed and now need to be worded in the past tense in the first paragraph.

Director Updates
As of 2021, the directors of Jardine Matheson Holdings are:

Also, Neil McNamara is no longer company secretary , and since the role is minor, might as well remove the sentence about him entirely.
Also, Lord Sasson is no longer involved, so cut that section or move it to history?

Scottish Leadership Section
Same as with infobox change, number of employees has increased to 464,000 (2019)

having recently read a book on the topic (Imperial Twilight by Platt), it is rather shocking to me that no mention of the opium trade is made in the history section of this page, considering both traders' mains sources of wealth came from opium. I think it merits inclusion. 157.131.76.206 (talk) 03:58, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
