There's some casting/development info here - [1] - JuneGloom Talk 21:41, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Who the heck was Gerry from last night's episode? I don't remember seeing anyone other than regular cast. Yet he was in the credits. –anemoneprojectors– 14:14, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Here's a link for a photo; [3], so if anyone has the original magazine, there could be some good stuff on here. — M.Mario (T/C) 15:23, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Just added a Helen Roberts as an "other" coming up soon, played by Martine Brown. Last year, Brown appeared as a child services person speaking to Lola and Billy, called Hayley. She said her last name but wasn't credited with it - Roberts. Can we assume this is the same character? How should we deal with it if we move her to 2011? –anemoneprojectors– 12:47, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Have we got any reliable sources whatsoever that Denny is "Dennis Rickman Jr."? It isn't very usual in Britain for folk to be Jr., plus his father is not alive (he is the only Dennis Rickman – he is even simply "Dennis Rickman" in the second 13 August episode's end credits!). I think we should remove "Jr." from all instances unless we have adequate citations within 7 days. (When we must disambiguate, we can use "Denny" or "Dennis Rickman (son)".) DBD 14:53, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
I found a source where the BBC call him "Dennis Jnr". [5] –anemoneprojectors– 20:56, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
As the rule you shouldn't people's family unless they share a scene (apart from intermediate family), however with most of Dennis's family will be unlikely to share a scene with him i.e Den and Vicki be added because the family section looks a little bare. --Anna2123456789 (talk) 19:36, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Reverting these changes because the character is credited as "Dennis Rickman", not "Denny Rickman". If you want to remove the "Jr" part, then just remove it. But lots of reliable sources call him "Dennis Rickman Jr", even since the character joined. –anemoneprojectors– 13:18, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
There were four women "others" last night. Samina said her name so we know who she is, and Jenny is mentioned in the episode synopsis. Caroline was also credited, but there were two other women with speaking parts - the woman who let Masood into the lockup and the woman who told Michael to buy bigger nappies. Should we just assume that Caroline is the latter, as she had a bigger part? –anemoneprojectors– 11:17, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
I was wondering if I could add, for the "others", a small column for the number of episodes appeared in. Most will be obvious (1 or 2) but for some it wouldn't be so obvious, such as Ali (2 eps over a couple of weeks), DS Crisp (12 eps) or Annabel (5 eps).
Here's an example:
Character | Date(s) | # of eps | Actor | Circumstances |
---|---|---|---|---|
Aaron | 3–5 January | 2 | Robert Curtis | Two brothers who meet Christian Clarke and his sister Jane Beale on a night out. Aaron remembers Christian from New Year's Eve, and when the four sit down to talk, Christian and Jane are bored as Aaron and Warren only talk about their business in doors and windows. Christian considers leaving but when his ex-boyfriend Syed Masood enters, Christian flirts with Aaron, and they end up spending the night together. |
Warren | 3 January | 1 | Sean Browne | |
Hannah | 12–19 July | 4 | Leila Crerar | A couple whose child, Jake, is in the same hospital as Janine Butcher and Michael Moon's baby Scarlett Moon, who is on a respirator. Jake appears to be improving, but then becomes ill and is taken off the ward. |
Rob | 4 | Thomas Snowdon | ||
Betty | 2 August | 1 | Kirstie Brough | A homeless girl. When Max Branning, Tanya Jessop and Alfie Moon go looking for Ian Beale at a homeless shelter where Lauren Branning saw him, Betty tells them she recognises Ian from a photo. Max pays her £30 to take them to a place he may be. Another person there says they have seen him, so Max pays Betty a further £20 to take them. When they get there, Betty tries to run away but Max stops her and accuses her of lying. However, Tanya then finds Ian. |
Any thoughts? Maybe we should consider adding it to the infoboxes in general, though tricky to keep up to date for present characters. –anemoneprojectors– 10:20, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Or what about this?

Wouldn't need ep count for 1 episode, as it's obvious. The only problem might come when a character comes back in 2013, twice in 2014 and again in 2016. Maybe for characters who appear like this, we should just put the first and last dates, instead of all the dates, but put all the dates into the storylines (we normally put the month anyway). –anemoneprojectors– 21:36, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
So she's now been in 11 episodes and will be in at least one more. Do we leave this "10 episodes" reference in or take it out? –anemoneprojectors– 08:59, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
"The Masoods are rightfully incredibly popular and we've got big plans for them. As well as the recent arrival of Masood's brother AJ, we also have a new female character joining the household in December. Let's just say that she's bound to cause a bit of mischief!" –anemoneprojectors– 12:45, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Lorraine Newman's Respond — M.Mario (T/C) 22:15, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi guys. Does anyone know the date of the last episode that Sasha Dixon appeared in? I want to add a last date to her entry as a hidden comment. She seems to have disappeared without trace, and Ray & Kim don't even mention her. I think it's likely she will appear again, and i'm not advocating classing her as a past characater at this stage - She should be kept as recurring (per the 1 year rule). But it would be nice to have a record of her last appearance, in case she never is seen again. Bleaney (talk) 02:56, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
The fact that Max and Kirsty were moving up to Manchester is important, because it is the fact she was alone in a city she did not know which writers are trying to stress. Derek said that he and Max were living in Leyton. Please don't reverse these changes.--AngieWattsFan (talk) 18:15, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
I have changed Ayesha's status from "regular" to "guest". She didn't appear in December, was gone within two months and the actress has confirmed her current return will be brief - that doesn't constitute a regular. Smurfmeister (talk) 19:32, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Why is their no date of birth listed for Alice's profile? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.255.27 (talk) 16:37, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I was wondering why there's still no main article for Alice and Joey when they've been in the show for over a year? I would create one for them, but I don't know if there's some reason for why they haven't got one already. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 08:42, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
I've just read your AJ draft. It does look good enough to publish. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 10:33, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Kirsty Branning has been a regular character and has been present in many storylines. Surely Kirsty is now notable enough for an article. 149.254.250.50 (talk) 12:40, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Could some make a page for these two? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.65.33.192 (talk) 22:03, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
OK, so all the sources I've been reading this morning indicate that Lola is leaving. None of them are mentioning that Lexi is leaving. However, someone has changed her classification to read departing. Is there any sources to support this? It's just that I'm thinking that she's also related to the Mitchells and given what they did to keep Lexi when she was born, I cannot see that they would allow Lola to take Lexi away. In other words, isn't it possible she could still stay?--5 albert square (talk) 12:13, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Surely if Paul Coker gets his own article, Les should. He is in far more episodes and his principal storyline has to have drawn at least as much media attention and controversy as Paul's. He is not quite the first trans character in soapland, but surely the first regular cross-dressing character to appear in EastEnders and therefore notable. The real-world character development stuff is already present in his section. I think there's enough there already. I don't know anything about starting article pages, though. Anemone, you probably know the most about these things and have a long prominent history on these pages, what do you think? ZarhanFastfire (talk) 15:34, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
We know Phil was in the process of adopting Dennis, the last scene being when they got the letter for the adoption hearing. Now, I'm starting to wonder over the past few episodes if it was an off-screen event? Because Dennis was referred to as Louise's brother by Sharon and then literally everyone keeps calling Dennis Phil's son and Phil Dennis' dad recently. There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:List of EastEnders characters (1985) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 20:50, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
