Is a listing of her latest album Windy City and previous effort worth listing? That's an 18 year wait, if you exclude the ones she did with her band. dannymusiceditoroops 23:33, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Yeepsi. Is it possible you know how these are organized? Are they at all? I don't know where to put her. dannymusiceditoroops 23:51, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it's ordered by longest gap first. I added her in this edit. Yeepsi (talk) 23:52, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Facepalm. Can't believe I didn't notice that. dannymusiceditoroops 23:58, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
As the one who created this article, I just wanted to thank everyone who helped expand on my idea. That is all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.114.154.25 (talk) 22:18, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The Sonics at 48 years between original studio albums: Introducing the Sonics in 1968 and This is the Sonics in 2015. (An album released in 1980 was remakes of previous songs.)
Cymande at 41 years between original studio albums: Promised Heights in 1974 and A Simple Act of Faith in 2015. (An album released in 1981 was actually recorded in the early 70s).
I'm removing J.S. Bach from the list. I don't think that the concept of "album" was the same when he composed... and I don't think he had much to do with the J.S. Bach Harpsichord concert. Let me know if you disagree. Chip Unicorn (talk) 03:56, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
...especially since at the beginning of the article it says "You can help by adding missing items with reliable sources. This is a list of the longest gaps of time between the release date of consecutive studio albums. To appear on the list, the album must have been officially released at least a decade (to the day) after their predecessor. This list should only contain studio albums; it should not include extended plays, soundtracks, remixes, releases from various artists and compilations or greatest hits albums"...therefore not to include it means that the list is wrong and incomplete as it meets the criteria for inclusion.
The problem with including Al Park is there's no Wikipedia article for Al Park or any of his albums. That criteria for including an entry here assumes that at the very least, the artist has their own Wikipedia page. If you made one with reliable sources and he passes WP:MUSIC then he could be included. But as it stands, there's nothing to link to. Doc StrangeMailboxLogbook 18:07, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in regards to '#2: Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart'...the link to the chart is there to see. In regards to other criteria surely there is enough info here for his inclusion...
...however, as somebody who is not from New Zealand, who has never been to New Zealand and not intending to go to New Zealand I don't think I should be the one making his Wikipedia page..it should be someone who knows more about the actual scene rather than someone with an interest in music from 'down there' keeping an eye on the Official NZ Music Charts[12]/ARIA charts[13] from abroad and wanting to find out more about these acts from Wikipedia, which is what the site should be doing. However, if to make the list more accurate it has to

I am not opposed to Al Park being listed here. I think there's been a little misunderstanding with that. The problem is that he doesn't have a page (or a band he was in that could've served as a redirect). You could always make one. Based on all the links you've provided he'd certainly warrant one per WP:MUSIC. I would recommend that you read WP:YFA and perhaps make yourself an account here - I don't think IPs can create articles - and you could probably put something together using these links as your sources.
